Vietnamese subsidiary offers new-to-world innovation through Bobby brand

Diana  Unicharm  has launched a one-side open pants style diaper under its Bobby baby care brand in Vietnam. The product, which was introduced in October 2023, is thought to be the world's first diaper design that combines a traditional open-tape style on one side and a pull on design on the other.

According to the company, parents in Vietnam prefer baby diapers that do not tightly constrict the waist and like to avoid lifting the baby's legs during diaper changes, as it may risk dislocating the hip joint. Therefore, they are very cautious when selecting diaper pants.
